The CUI Post-Operative Light Support Waistband

The unisex waistband belt is designed to provide appropriate light 'Post-Operative' comfortable support, following stoma formation surgery. The waistband fabric is seamless, breathable and also has additional antibacterial protection. Lightweight support which is ideal for both post-operative wear and security, providing discretion and re-assurance.

Measure around the waist in line with the stoma site so the tape measure runs over the top of the stoma bag/pouch.

If you have an existing hernia take the same measurement but whilst lying down and allowing the hernia to retract.

We advise that all of our support garments are machine washed under a normal setting at a maximum 40°C. Garments should then be hung and allowed to dry naturally which helps to ensure longer lasting performance. We also suggest that fastenings are secured/closed during any wash cycle. For best results we would also suggest garments are placed in a 'wash-bag' although this is not necessary.

Seamless Support - Research and general medical opinion suggests that there is a higher risk of hernia formation following any abdominal or stoma procedure. To reduce the risk it is advisable to wear suitable support garments that you have been assessed and measured for.

Developed alongside Healthcare Professionals to comfortably support the core muscles following abdominal surgery and particularly stoma surgery to reduce the risk of herniation, support a hernia or following hernia repair.
